☀️ حزمة حظر العمل وقت الظهيرة الصيفي (الخليج)

فترة الحظر: 15 June to 15 September (annually)

الساعات المحظورة: 12:30 to 15:00 (2.5-hour daily ban)

النص القانوني: Ministerial Resolution No. 44 of 2022 on Occupational Health & Safety and Labour Accommodation (Midday Break rule), enforced by MOHRE. In Abu Dhabi it is complemented by the ADOSH-SF 'Safety in the Heat' programme (Code of Practice / Technical Guideline), which uses the Thermal Work Limit (TWL) index, derived from WBGT inputs, to set thermal work-rest limits.

الخلاصة: Work under direct sunlight and in open-air areas is prohibited during peak afternoon heat in the summer months (the 'Midday Break' / mid-day work ban). Employers must provide shaded rest areas, drinking water, rehydration salts and cooling during the break. Some technical tasks (e.g. continuous concrete pouring, asphalt laying, or work to avert a hazard to the community) are exempt. Violations carry a fine of AED 5,000 per worker found in violation, applied cumulatively (so multi-worker breaches can far exceed AED 50,000).
