How AEGIS - AMA (amaador-hse.com) handles your privacy — and how the third-party advertising and analytics services on this site use cookies.

AEGIS - AMA is a free toolkit that runs entirely in your browser. The tools themselves do not send your documents or inputs to any server — your work is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and in the files you export. We do not run user accounts and we do not sell personal data.
However, to keep the site free, we display ads through Google AdSense and we measure traffic with Google Analytics. These Google services use cookies and similar technologies that may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser, and pages viewed, in order to serve and measure ads and analytics. The sections below explain this and how to opt out.

The toolkit is static and client-side. The data you enter into a tool (company profile, risk assessments, etc.) is saved only in your browser’s localStorage and never uploaded to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it. We do not require registration and we do not maintain server-side accounts or databases of users.
We use the following third-party services, which set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies:
Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. This may involve collecting your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which tools are most useful) so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data, with IP addresses handled in a truncated/anonymized manner. See Google’s Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics using your data with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Donations are handled by Stripe via an external Stripe-hosted page; we never see or store your card details. The site also links to public reference sources (e.g. PubChem, ECHA). Those external sites have their own privacy policies.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and use the opt-out links above. Most browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely. Blocking advertising cookies will not stop ads from showing but may make them less relevant; the toolkit itself continues to work normally.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, advertising and analytics cookies that are not strictly necessary are used only with your consent, which you may give or refuse via the consent prompt and may withdraw at any time. Our legal basis for non-essential cookies is your consent; for the basic operation of the site, our legitimate interest in providing the service. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because the toolkit stores your tool data only on your own device, most such data is under your direct control. For requests regarding data held by us, contact youssef@amaador-hse.com.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some sharing of identifiers with advertising partners for personalized ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law. You can limit this using the opt-out links in section 3 and your browser’s privacy controls (including Global Privacy Control signals where supported). California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting youssef@amaador-hse.com.
This site is intended for EHS, safety, environmental and energy professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We do not operate a user database, so we retain no personal accounts. Data processed by Google AdSense and Google Analytics is retained according to Google’s policies. The site is served over HTTPS.
We may update this policy as the site or applicable laws change. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
