ℹ️ Sigma level is derived from DPMO using the standard Six Sigma conversion Z = NORMSINV(1 − DPMO/1,000,000) + 1.5 (the 1.5σ long-term shift); 6σ ≈ 3.4 DPMO, 3σ ≈ 66,807 DPMO. KPI thresholds (good / watch / poor) are common industry defaults — set your own targets from your quality objectives. Monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation of quality performance is required by ISO 9001:2015 clause 9.1. This is a calculation aid, not a substitute for a validated quality management system.
