HomeSafetyBattery Fire Risk Assessment

🔋 Lithium-ion / BESS battery fire risk assessment

Assess fire risk for battery storage, charging rooms, BESS containers and EV / forklift / e-bike charging: thermal-runaway hazards, NFPA 855 / IFC quantity & spacing screening, a 5×5 hazard register, prioritized controls and a battery-fire emergency response — exported to Word.

Installation

Tip: stored energy ≈ number of units × Wh each ÷ 1000. E.g. 100 e-bike packs × 500 Wh = 50 kWh.

Controls in place (tick what you already have)

⚠️ This is a screening risk assessment to structure your battery fire-safety review — it is not a stamped engineering analysis. NFPA 855 / IFC require a Hazard Mitigation Analysis (HMA) and design by a qualified professional above certain thresholds and for many ESS installations. Verify quantities, spacing and protection against the adopted code edition and your authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), and have a competent person review the result.
